What is an Elephant Rider?

I am officially an Elephant Rider

Being a certified Elephant Rider means I can use the Emotional Culture Deck (ECD) to shape our 1-1 Confidence Coaching sessions. The ECD is such a powerful yet fun tool to help you:

1. Understand what drives and motivates you

2. Create a focus that is directly related to how you want to feel and not feel at work

3. Find a way to drive lasting personal and professional change

I have been using the ECD for 18 months to facilitate powerful conversations with business leaders and managers around how to shape their organisation culture. I have also used it to workshop, with employees, how they want to create a workplace culture that helps them thrive. I've recently started to use the ECD on a 1-1 basis with my coaching clients. The response has been overwhelmingly positive particularly amongst women who don't enjoy talking about their emotions at work. There’s plenty of research stating that our thoughts, feeling and behaviours are all connected and influence one another.

Thoughts + Feelings = Behaviours

Emotions have a significant impact on how people perform on tasks, how confident, engaged and creative they are, how committed they are to their organisations, and how they make decisions.

When people recognise their emotions in the workplace, and consciously shape them, they can better serve and motivate themselves. Research shows your own emotional culture influences your satisfaction, motivation, connection, engagement, burnout, teamwork, and even "hard" measures such as performance and absenteeism.

With all that in mind, having a deep insight into your emotions can open your eyes to what is working really well for you, where you opportunities lie and what is holding you back. And with that insight actions can be set out to help you achieve your goals with confidence.
